Thank you for your patience over the past couple days. The PackMaster/TroopMaster Import is now available on your SOAR website.

We had a LOT of new features in the TroopMaster Import. Combined with the size of the new Roster feature, it was simply too much at once. We have backed out a few of the TroopMaster Import upgrades and it is now very stable.

New PackMaster/TroopMaster Import

Its finally here !

The new Import will not only make your life a lot easier, it will also give you many more capabilities.

• Auto fixes member adds/deletes when an parent changes leader status – yes, finally !
• Auto fixes “member name changes” causing account recreation
• Import of Alt Relative Tab is here !!!!
• Adds BSA ID, Date of Birth, Medical Forms Part A-D, Sex, Middle Name, and Nickname
  • We have options to “opt out” of transferring Date of Birth and Medical Forms to your SOAR website if you wish
• More feedback on what happened during the import
• Prevents accidental upload of wrong file type and your Roster filling with garbage accounts.
  • You know who you are :)
• Packs
  • Leader Title will come across exactly as in PackMaster
• Troops
  • You can associate an Adult as a Leader of a Patrol on your SOAR website and it will “stick” through future Imports.
• Think adding an ASM to each Patrol and them automatically getting included in Patrol Email Lists

Also note that the new Roster feature has added a new privacy option for who can see Advancement imported from PackMaster/TroopMaster.

Individual Accounts

We have had more and more customers contact us about getting “locked out” of their Individual Accounts.

If you are using Individual Accounts for all your members, double check your setting at Admin/Control Panel/Membership. It should be set to Individual Accounts, NOT Simple Membership. This is why you are getting locked out…

What do I need to do?

1. Read the new Unit Roster feature guide at Admin/Online Help/Feature Guides.
   • Get familiar with how the new Roster works and what options are available to you.
2. The first time you use the TroopMaster Import, you will most likely need to do it twice in a row.
   • This will get some of the new data into your SOAR website and will help it with future syncing.
3. Send us your feedback
   • Include your SOAR ID or website address
   • Include your SOAR.xfr file so we can take a look at the details
   • Be as specific as you can about any members or comments so we can help replicate anything
