New Feature: Automated "parents" Email ListToday we're happy to introduce a new feature: Automated "parents" email lists. This is a frequently requested feature, and we hope it saves all the webmasters out there some time and effort. This automated email list is similar to the "announce" and "leaders" email lists that have existed for some time. To enable these automated lists, including the new parents list, visit Email > Auto Lists, click the enable checkbox, and save your settings. The parents email list will be available immediately. If your account already has automated lists enabled, we recommend you disable and then reenable the auto lists feature. That will ensure the parents list is initialized. Once the "parents" list exists, parents are added and removed automatically as your roster changes. Anyone within your unit who has a parent, step-parent, or legal guardian relationship with a scout will be part of the parents email list. To see current list membership, visit Email > Email Lists > Manage and click the "View" button beside the parents email list. Also introduced with this change: Auto email lists can be renamed! This is especially useful for those who already have a "parents" email list that is generated from a manually-maintained group. You can rename the auto-generated list if needed to avoid a name collision. You can also rename the announce and leaders lists if you wish. We welcome feedback about this new feature.
