Service Outage 8/28/2009 10:30 – 11:30 PM EST

It is our policy to provide you with notification of any issue that has interrupted service to your website.

We do this to ensure good communication with our customers and to make you aware of the issue so you can answer questions raised by your unit members.

Service Outage – 8/28/2009 10:30 – 11:30 PM EST

At 10:30 PM EST on Friday August 28th, there was a power failure at the data center that hosts or servers at our service provider www.serverbeach.com. The electric company was on site at the data center doing routine maintenance. They accidentally cut a cable and in the process shorted out the backup UPS systems. Thus no main power or backup power.

New Site Themes coming September 3rd, 2009

SOAR Customers,

We are pleased to announce that our next release will be on September 3rd, 2009 and will include all new Site Themes and a number of new theme related features.

As you may know, this release has taken us much longer than we anticipated. It took quite a bit of time to thoroughly test a number of new technologies to be used in the release and to integrate those technologies that proved reliable. The current Site Themes were developed by a 3rd party consultant and unfortunately have limited both us in development and you (our customers) in personalizing your website. For this reason the new themes (HTML and CSS) have be rewritten from scratch to overcome these limitations and to add in new technologies/features.

Editing Registrations

Only someone with Administrative persmissions can edit ALL registrations.

Registrations cannot be deleted, for historical reasons. Registrations can be changed so that the number attending is zero (0). This effectively "unregisters" the person while also keeping a record that they initially signed up for the event.

If the Edit Own option of Event Signup is used, members may be able to edit their own registrations.

Style Account What can be edited
By Family Shared Nothing - a shared account cannot be tied to an individual registration
Individual Scout - his own registration.

Attendee List

The Attendee List shows the details of who is currently registered for an indivudal event.

It includes:

  • The name of the registrant
  • The date and time of the registration
  • The number of scouts, adults, and other that will be attending
  • Any notes from the registration
  • If costing is used
    • the total event fee for the registration, based on the number attending
    • an indicator if the event fee for the registration has been paid

A version of the Attendee List suitable for printing can be accessed by using the at the bottom of the page.
