New: Scoutbook featureWe continue to try to work with Scoutbook to create a data interface like we with have with Packmaster/Troopmaster. Unfortunately there has been little progress in that area from the Scoutbook side. To assist customers that are using both Scoutbook and SOAR we have create a Scoutbook feature that will show the Scoutbook app inside your SOAR website. This will allow your members to use Scoutbook without leaving your SOAR website. Note: There is no integration, so your members will still need to login to your SOAR website and Scoutbook separately. To enable the feature, go to Admin/Control Panel/Features and turn the Scoutbook feature on. Your website will then include a Scoutbook Menu Item for all to use. Update: Photo Upload ToolThere is a memory leak bug in the IE 11/Edge browsers that is causing problems with the Photo Upload Tool. To address the issue, we have provided a different version of the Photo Upload Tool that removes some of the tools features. You will not be able to see a thumbnail view of the photos you have added for upload, change the order of the photos to be upload, and the limit is 50 pictures per upload. Unfortunately, until Microsoft fixes the issue there is nothing we can do about this one. You can use another browser to use the fully featured Photo Upload Tool. By soar at 2016-10-04 14:59
Security PolicySecurity of the SOAR website services are of utmost importance to us. We do the following to ensure the security of your unit website and it's data.
Access from Verizon Home InternetThere is a routing issue within the Verizon network that is preventing some customers from accessing their SOAR websites from Verizon Home Internet accounts. This DOES NOT apply to Verizon Wireless customers. If you are Verizon Home Internet (DSL/FIOS) customer and are having issues connecting to your SOAR website from home, you can call Verizon Support who will change your IP Address which seems to be fixing the problem. We are trying to create a ticket with Verizon to fix the problem permanently but the process is slow... SOAR Support. By soar at 2015-08-13 19:08
Service Notice 7/22/2015 - Access DeniedAt 6:00 AM EST we released a patch to the SOAR website service. The patch needed to modify database tables, so we needed to lock access while the patch was being applied. The patch took much longer than expected to complete. The patch completed at 8:30 AM EST. During this time you could login to your SOAR website but would receive "Access Denied" messages for many of the pages. Your site content was there. It was just being locked from access while the patch was being applied. All sites are fully functional now. This did not affect the content of your SOAR website. We apologize for the longer than expected update time and the inability to access your site during this time. By soar at 2015-07-22 13:03 | read more
New: Nested MenusSOAR has added a new feature to allow for your main Menu on your unit website to contain nested menu items. You can now create a hierarchy of menu items to categorize content and minimize your main Menu. When adding a Custom Page at Admin/Content/Add/Custom Page you can select the Parent Item for the new page you are adding. "Menu" would add the new page to the 1st level of the main Menu like before. If you select another existing Menu item for the Custom Page, it will then be nested below that item. To modify the hierarchy of an existing Custom Page you can modify its Parent Item at Admin/Content/Manage/Menus. By soar at 2015-06-26 17:37 | read more
