Service Interruption Notice 2/8/2018At 5:15PM EST our Troop website server started having performance issues. By 5:45PM EST the performance issue on the server was non recoverable and we had to reboot the server. Access to all Troop websites was restored at 6:30PM EST. This did not affect Pack website customers. Over the last couple months, this server has started showing increasing issues. We will be migrating all Troop websites to a new server in the next 30-60 days after we have completed a detailed migration plan. The migration will not have any significant downtime for customers. As soon as we have exact dates of the migration we will share them with you ahead of time. By soar at 2018-02-09 02:34 | read more
EBlasts for Sunday 1/7/2018The normal EBlasts that goes out between 6-9AM EST was delayed today. The EBlasts service started at 5PM EST and will continue through approximately 8PM EST. If you have already done a manual EBlast Now this morning from your SOAR website and used the Record option, another EBlast will not go out. If you did nothing this morning, the EBlast will go out between 5-8PM EST. We apologize for the inconvenience. SOAR Support By soar at 2018-01-07 22:05
Bug: Accounts becoming InactiveWe have found a bug that was introduced on Tuesday (10/24). If a member edited their own Roster information since that time, their account ~could~ become Inactive. The bug only occurred for certain situations. The bug has been fixed. If you find a member that reports access to their account is no longer working, this may be the reason why. Go to Admin/Members/Manage/Members.

Service Interruption Notice 10/19/2017It has been one of those weeks at SOAR... At around 8:00 PM EST one of our servers decided to meltdown, mostly affecting Troop customers. By 10:00 PM EST the meltdown was non reversible and access to all Troop websites was no longer available. We needed to have some hardware replaced on that server. We decided it was better to have it taken care of now than to have the servers down later for another period of time, even if it was a schedule outage in the future. The hardware was replaced and the server was brought back online by 11:30 PM EST. We then reloaded the server and all customer data back online. No customer data was lost. Service Interruption Notice 10/16/2017At 1PM EST we pushed through a service update. This update modified Site Themes to make them compliant with new browser releases. This update had a bug that caused the Home Page of myPack websites to not load properly and produce a "Service Unavailable" message once logged in. Your SOAR website was actually still there, it was just a display issue on the Home Page. If you accessed any other page on your website, your content would display. This did not affect myTroop customers. The bug was fixed and sites were updated at 2:15pm EST. You should be able to access your Home Page, and the rest of your website without issues. Converting to Packmaster Web 2.0Troopmaster is coming out with a new release of their software in the next 60 days called Troopmaster Web 2.0 and Packmaster Web 2.0. This release has a number of significant technology changes in it. There is one in particular that will affect Troopmaster/Packmaster users and their SOAR website. They are changing their method for assigning unique IDs within their software – what we call TMIDs – that are used for syncing with your SOAR website during the Import process. They are changing to a truly unique TMGUID which in the long run will help significantly reduce duplicate accounts showing up in your SOAR website. Packmaster/Troopmaster Issue - 6/29/17Troopmaster released a new version of software today that had an update to the SOAR.xfr export file. This is causing an issue with Import into SOAR websites. We had tested this update prior to its release. It appears there is a difference once in the production environment that is causing the problem. To safeguard your data we have turned off the Packmaster/Troopmaster Verify/Import/Convert functions while we work this out. We have a fix for the issue and a couple SOAR customers are testing it out now. Please expect the Import features will be available again by sometime tomorrow night.
